Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 August 2026 · Chitrio ("we", "us") · Contact: [email protected]
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Chitrio (chitrio.com), an AI-assisted video creation and publishing platform. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you use Chitrio on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company.
1. The service
Chitrio turns your topics, scripts, documents and footage into finished videos using artificial intelligence: script generation, synthetic voiceovers, AI-generated and stock imagery, motion, captions, thumbnails and optional publishing to connected platforms (such as YouTube). Features vary by subscription plan and may change as the product evolves.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials confidential, and be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live). You are responsible for all activity under your account and workspace, including team members you invite. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Credits, plans and billing
Chitrio meters usage in credits. Plans grant a monthly credit allowance; credits are consumed when you render videos, generate premium assets, or use metered features (costs are shown in the app before you spend). Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and unused monthly-grant credits do not roll over unless your plan says otherwise. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. Where a render fails because of a fault on our side, the credits it consumed are refunded to your balance automatically. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for payment refunds.
4. Your content and licence to us
You retain ownership of the material you upload (footage, images, documents, voice samples, brand assets) and of the finished videos you generate, to the extent permitted by law. You grant us a limited licence to host, process and transmit your content solely to operate the service (for example, sending a scene image to an AI motion provider to animate it). We claim no ownership of your output and do not use your private content to advertise the service without your permission.
5. AI-generated content
AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or similar to output generated for others. You are responsible for reviewing every video before publishing it, including factual claims, and for ensuring you have rights to any likeness, voice, brand or footage used. If you create content using a real person's portrait or voice (for example the avatar presenter), you confirm you have that person's consent. Synthetic media laws vary by country; complying with the ones that apply to you is your responsibility.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use Chitrio to create or distribute content that is illegal, defamatory, deceptive (including undisclosed deepfakes of real people), infringing, hateful, sexually exploitative, or that targets minors with harm; to spam or manipulate platforms; to probe, overload or attack the service; to resell the service without a written agreement; or to reverse-engineer it. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section, with credits and fees for the abusive activity forfeited.
7. Third-party platforms
Publishing features connect to third-party platforms (YouTube, Meta and others) under their own terms. By connecting a YouTube channel you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service (youtube.com/t/terms) and Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy). You can revoke Chitrio's access at any time in your Google security settings (myaccount.google.com/permissions) or by disconnecting the channel in the app. You are responsible for content you publish to any platform.
8. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but the service is provided "as is" and "as available" - AI providers, render capacity and third-party APIs can fail or change. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical. We are not liable for loss caused by downtime, third-party provider failures, or content removal by external platforms.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data, except where such limits are not permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Termination
You may stop using the service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or legal risk. On termination your access ends; you should download your videos first. We may delete workspace data after a reasonable period following termination.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at the company's registered place of business in India have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any consumer rights that apply in your place of residence. We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in-app or by email, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
