Why does each part stay under 16 MB?
Many phones refuse to send or forward a video above 16 MB. Every part is encoded to land below that size, and a part that comes out too large is encoded again before you see it.
Does it cost anything?
No. You need a free Chitrio account, and there is a daily allowance of free jobs. No credits are used.
Will it crop my video to make it vertical?
No. The whole frame stays visible in the middle, and the space above and below is filled with a blurred copy of the same picture.
How long can my video be?
Up to 10 minutes. A very short leftover piece at the end, under two seconds, is dropped rather than posted as an empty part.
How long are my files kept?
For 48 hours, then they are deleted automatically. You can also delete them yourself at any time.
